Class Teacher – This post is 0.6 and fixed term from 01/09/2024 for 12 months.

The Governors of Callands Community Primary School are looking to appoint an outstanding and dedicated teacher to join an excellent team of staff committed to providing learning opportunities to the highest standards. This post is suitable for excellent ECTs as well as more experienced teachers and is 0.6, working three days per week. The successful candidate will work in one of our Key Stage 1 classes.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join our fantastic team and an ideal chance for a teacher wishing to develop their skills and learn from others around them. The successful candidate should be an inspirational classroom practitioner with the drive and determination to make a difference to our children. We would love to hear from you if you:

Grade 4 (Level 2) Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage One

Fixed Term, Part Time (for the length of time the child attends our school)

31 hours per week (Monday - Friday 8.40am – 3.20pm , one afternoon finishing at 3.30pm)

Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding teaching assistant to support a child in Key Stage One with an EHCP.  The child has a diagnosis of ASD and is currently non-verbal with significant speech, language communication, social and emotional needs.  We are looking for someone who:

*   Can adjust activities according to pupil learning styles and individual needs.

*   Can communicate effectively with children, parents and other staff.

*   Can support children in developing their social interaction skills and maintain relations with their peers.

*   Can support children in managing their barriers to learning, whatever those be.

*   Can work closely with the SENCo and external agencies to implement strategies to support learning.

*   Is very positive and has a desire to succeed with children.

*   Effective in supporting children in a balanced manner so they do not become over reliant on one to one support.
